چکیده

Hydrogenation of the N-bound phenyl rings of amines, imines, and aziridine is achieved in the presence of H(2) and B(C(6)F(5))(3), affording the corresponding N-cyclohexylammonium hydridoborate salts.

Metal-free hydrogenation catalysis of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.

The frustrated Lewis pair, B(C(6)F(5))(3)/Ph(2)PC(6)F(5), acts as an efficient catalyst for the hydrogenation of the polycyclic hydrocarbons including anthracene derivatives, tetracene and tetraphene, at 80 °C and 100 atm H(2) pressure via a mechanism involving protonation of polyaromatic species followed by hydride transfer.

A new route to N-aromatic heterocycles from the hydrogenation of diesters in the presence of anilines.

The hydrogenation of dicarboxylic acids and their esters in the presence of anilines provides a new synthesis of heterocycles. [Ru(acac)3] and 1,1,1-tris(diphenylphosphinomethyl)ethane (triphos) gave good to excellent yields of the cyclic amines at 220 °C. When aqueous ammonia was used with dimethyl 1,6-hexadienoic acid, ε-caprolactam was obtained in good yield. A side reaction involving alkyla...

The interaction of diamines and polyamines with the peroxidase-catalyzed metabolism of aromatic amines: a potential mechanism for the modulation of aniline toxicity.

Synthetic and biological amines such as ethylenediamine (EDA), spermine, and spermidine have not been previously investigated in free-radical biochemical systems involving aniline-based drugs or xenobiotics. We aimed to study the influence of polyamines in the modulation of aromatic amine radical metabolites in peroxidase-mediated free radical reactions. The aniline compounds tested caused a re...

On the formation of protected gold nanoparticles from AuCl4 ) by the reduction using aromatic amines

Amines are used extensively as reductants and subsequent capping agents in the synthesis of metal nanoparticles, especially gold, due to its affinity to nitrogen. Taking 2-methyl aniline as an example, we show that metal reduction is followed by polymerization of the amine, while part of it covers the nanoparticle surface another fraction deposits in the solution. It is found that the oxidative...

One-pot reductive Amination of Carbonyl Compounds using NaBH4 and Fe3O4 Magnetic Nanoparticles

One-pot reaction of aldehydes or ketons with aniline derivatives was performed using NaBH4 and Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs). The optimum amount of Fe3O4 MNPs was 5 mol% under solvent free condition. The corresponding products were obtained in good to excellent yields. The magnetically recoverable iron oxide nanoparticles are found to be efficient for synthesis of amine derivatives. These...
